Loughwood Meeting House is a historic Baptist chapel located just south of Dalwood on the Devon Dorset border. It is believed it may be one of the oldest meeting Houses in the country and dates back to 1653 before the Act of Toleration 1689 made such buildings legal. The current building dates from the 17th-18th century and has walls mad of stone rubble and a thatched roof. The interior is possibly from the 19th century with a raised pulpit and a baptismal pool.
