Morwellham Quay is deservedly a popular attraction near Tavistock. It was a historic river port in Devon, England that was built to service the local copper mine that reached it’s peak in the early Victorian period. It is an open air museum which has a 19th century village, the docks and quays, farm, nature reserve and a restored ship. The George and Charlotte copper mine can be toured by a small train. This is part of a designated World Heritage Site and an attraction that appeals to young and old.
