Croyde Bay
|
Croyde is a small village on the North Coast that has become very popular for tourists. The name is reputedly derived form the Anglo Saxon settlement called Cridda and the village retains some old world charm. The main reason for Croyde being popular is that it has a choice of 3 sandy beaches in a sheltered bay and are among the best in North Devon. With exciting waves, not only do these attract the family holiday makers but also the surfers. There are a number of campsites and a large family holiday park Ruda nearby to cater for them. After a good day on the beach there are also 3 good pubs, including the Thatched Barn. |
