Appledore One End House is a beautiful early 18th Century property situated just 50 yards from the Quay meaning that a whole host of restaurants , cafes , pubs and galleries are just a short walk away. One End House is located in the centre of the village on one of the quaint and narrow streets that make Appledore such a unique place to visit. Appledore is a calm fishing village which first began to thrive in the Elizabethan era , and is the perfect base from which to explore Devon as a whole. Appledore is a quaint fishing town which is positioned where the rivers Taw and the Torridge meet. A few miles up the Torridge river is Bideford , another picturesque town with a beautiful quay. Bideford has a rich history as it was once an important ship building centre and port. Across the river is Instow which , with its beach and yachts , is a real summer sun trap.
