There are numerous walking and cycling routes in the National Park and the adjacent Tamar Valley to suit all levels of ability and fitness. You can start your walk or cycle on Drakes Trail which runs just 50 meters from our door proving you really can have a great car free day out. There are also several circular walking and cycling routes off the trail taking you to Buckland Abbey Burrator Reservoir and Clearbrook to name just a few. There is more to Dartmoor than just walking and cycling within easy reach you have access to activities such as gliding kayaking paragliding horse riding reservoir fly and coarse fishing and golfing to name but a few. For those of you who enjoy less energetic pastimes there are farmers markets historic houses museums craft shops and galleries gardens and interesting churches to visit.
