The Hotel Rating system is rather complicated, with a number of different systems. We are trying to help our visitors by clarifying them slightly. The Star rating on Devon.net is purely a guideline and some are awarded by various organisations that we have not defined. For example, sometimes an expensive luxury hotel may have a lower star rating because it is an old building that has no lifts. However, customers should check the information once they have clicked on the Booking Website links to satisfy themselves that they are booking the right type of accommodation.
